Chapter 3
Insightful Gentlewoman
A distance from the Kingdom, a gentlewoman prayed; to meet a charming Soldier with his honors’ all displayed.
Her instincts were pure, and her heart was near sustained; she foresaw the things around her, while wisdom she did gain.

She recalled how prodigiously gifted he was as a kid. And recollected how his genius was as rare as splendid!
She thought of the castle as a high place of distinction; cause it held glorious artwork, designed with perfection.
There were great paintings of oil, overlaying the walls, and sculptures from world artists that stood proudly and tall.

The musician’s quarters held instruments from near and afar; that the King used to compose lyrical verse and its bars.
Every musical creation was a masterpiece of its own; that the King performed with rhythmic expressions, and vivacious tones!

Soon after the King identified he’d entered a place in the distance; his heart filled with assurance, he’d be provided assistance.
His corporeal life had converted, now his inclinations were boundless. Still endowed, his steadfast deportment was fearless!
More confident, his gentlewoman would now soon be found; he saddled-up his mare Chariot, then head straight into town.

He arrived, and he saw a worthy fair, held in his name. And all the people were clapping and cheering the same!
They were laughing and crying, dancing about in his honor; as joyous tunes rang out and chimed for an entire choir!
He observed the show for a while; then he spotted her face. She was whispering psalms in the most serene place.
Holding stories in one hand, and her child in the other; her smile proved to him, she was a sweet-natured mother.

So he watched her at dawn, when she rose for the day. He was sure that he’d found her, and at night he did pray.
He learned that his chosen gentlewoman had once married before; but a battle had left her with children of four.
First was a young stallion, he was tall as can be; with the brightest eyes of hazel, he smiled bashfully.

The second was delightful, she was dainty and sweet; she had sapphire rhinestones designed in her sheets.

The third child was darling; with a nose like a pearl; her laughter was toasty and hair was a curl.

And fourth, was a charming gentleman, born when it snowed; he held a playful and happy mannerism and mode.

She loved her children dearly and taught them fine things; like how to dress warmly in winters and lightly in springs.
She demonstrated good morals, they never did fight; and she read them great stories, which confirmed how to write.
They played games that they cherished with family and friends; and some, with each other, when they’d just pretend.

The story recited when the Gentlewoman was a girl, told of how she was specially placed in her world.
Third born out of seven on a cold winter’s night; warmed her heart right from birth, and blessed her with insight!

She was as kind as he’d wished for; her honesty need be discerned. High-esteem she’d developed over years, as she learned.
When he saw her at midday, tending the garden’s carnations; she praised God for blessed gifts to all likely nations.
Then at night, he observed her aptitude as she scribed a dear song; so thrilled by her genius, he coaxed her along.
He next, enchanted her dreams with unsullied affection; as celestial starlight blushed through to perfection!
Her first dream from him on a stormy summer’s night was of spring colored flowers that enlightened her sight.
The scent of dew preceded the glow of fresh sunny skies; as cheery rosebuds blossomed right before her eyes.
And as she glanced around her room, something was very clear; the solitude it held before had somehow disappeared.
She blinked to see if she were dreaming, but couldn’t tell for sure; then she noticed how pink flora, rambled bout the floor.
When she tried to stand amidst them, she stumbled there instead; as a single rosa petal hailed her, and drifted round her head.

When she awakened fully, she smiled and thought on whim. For, he had been the famed King to reign, just like a Magician.
When she suspected his enchantment, she cried and beamed within. She knew the greatest magic could only come from him!...
