Chapter 4

Reflections

As the season changed to autumn, the leaves swayed to the ground; the cool breeze made her notice that he was still around.

So she spoke with him softly, as she rested late nights; she’d play soft tones of music, and kindle lantern lit lights.

The King would adoringly visit; air-tickle her nose and her toes; and watch her playfully giggle, til finally she’d doze.

Once her rest was attested, he’d embark on her dreams; with the most charming personage and variant scenes.

One night in November, he showed her their world; displaying images of life that only he could unfurl.

T he appearance from Asia, the land of the wise; affirmed unconscious staining of all the blue skies.

An African replica, where nations are Keen; showed that some crops were neglected and very unclean.

A North American portrait unmasked states of the bright; but abuse of the oceans smudged things that shed light.

A reflection of South America’s home of great wit; confirmed uprooted forests left some tainted grit.

An image of Antarctica’s polity of the sound; proved changes of climate left poplars to drown.

A depiction of Australia’s nativity of the learned; showed corals acidic and aquatic concern.

A European impression exposed a place of the clever; but some actions resulted in odious weather.

The Gentlewoman wakened, and her eyes suffused with tears. She could tell the earth was suffering, opposed to getting care.

The King had shown her images, and she knew that he had seen; the habitats surrounding them that were no longer clean.

His regards for the lands and oceans, were legitimately true; but now, he could no longer help in ways that he use to!

The King’s demeanor was pleasant , ever caring, and great-hearted; he’d given much to the world, even so, he departed.

The most that he gave was in the form of great love; when he cared for the hungry, the ill, and the young.

Whenever he heard of a somber place that lacked bread, he would send the town’s people provisions that fed.

He aided in finding the best cures for the sickly; by providing the means for antidotes that worked quickly!

He adored all the world’s children, he treated them well; and at Xmas he’d send them fun gifts where they’d dwell.

He took care of his family and friends that were loyal. Like the Duke that he honored with gems that were royal.
